StoryGraph Giveaway Momentum

When I decided to do a giveaway on the StoryGraph, I thought maybe I’d get one hundred entries, maybe two hundred if I could just write a meet-cute blurb.

To see that in a little over two weeks there are two thousand entries breaks my brain, in all the best ways. What’s even more exciting and humbling is the growth in people who added it to their TBR. Hopefully someday there will be a few of you reading back over this blog entry and saying “That was me! I did that!”.

Growing readership is time consuming and painstaking, and is a fantastic way to put off actually writing anything new. But the challenges are worth everything when you see reviews/hear someone mentioning they loved how you handled something. Or that they’re ready for book 2, or that I better not mess with the character they liked best.

I may never be a NYT bestseller, but with luck I’ll have a core of readers eager to come along every herald’s journey.
