Live At Last

Happy Yule, and sending you a light in the coming dark days of the season.

After 12 Days of Descant posts, last minute panic edits caught because of writing prompts from BlueSky (thanks to #WIPSnips for that one!), Descant is finally live.

While I might not be a NYT Bestseller (yet), my story is out there for people who like the Aoni I’m creating, and that is enough for now.

Do I dream about being discovered and someone making a show or movie out of my books? Of course! What writer doesn’t want to see that kind of realization? There are things in my stories that I would ADORE seeing manifested. If I could have my very own version of Katy’s Pendant? Or meet the live embodiments of my characters? I’d flat pass out.

That may well be more fantasy than my books themselves, and at the moment the fact that people can go on Overdrive or Libby and ask for my book is the best kind of high. Seeing that someone had actually checked out my book from my local library? Amazing.

If you’re reading this and ready to read Descant, I hope it makes you laugh and cry. Maybe even gasp in excitement or grip the edge of your seat a time or two.
